Approval Scope — Lead Validation
We've changed the Timesheet Approval Portal (and the Lead dashboard) so that each Lead sees only their own team instead of the whole company's timesheets. This is driven by the Supervisor and Department now maintained on employee records. Please check the list for your department below is exactly right.
This page is a snapshot for sign-off. The always-current version lives in the portal: Approval Portal → Team Coverage. It reads live NetSuite data and refreshes hourly, so use it any time you want to check who a Lead sees today — no need to wait for this document to be re-issued.
What changed
Before
Every Lead saw one shared, firm-wide queue — all pending timesheets for everyone, and the dashboard's Team Hours listed the entire company. Whoever opened it first could approve anyone's time.
After
Each Lead's queue and dashboard is scoped to their own people: everyone who reports up to them plus everyone in their department. CEO and Finance still see everything. Nothing else about the approval steps changes.
How your team is worked out
Two rules, combined: (1) Reporting line — you see everyone below you in the NetSuite Supervisor chain (your reports, and their reports, all the way down). (2) Department — you also see everyone in your own department, so a departmental Lead who reports to another Lead still gets their whole team. Because of rule 2, two Leads in the same department (e.g. both Technical Leads) will see the same people — that's intended; the first to approve an entry advances it, so there's no double-approval.

One thing to confirm at the top: Nupur currently sees only the Marketing/Sales/HR side, not Delivery, because Delivery reports up to Mrudul (CEO) on a separate line. If Nupur should see the whole company for approvals too, we'll link Mrudul's record under Nupur. Mrudul already sees everything via the CEO role.
What we need from each Lead
- Open your department box above and check the roster is complete — nobody on your team missing.
- Check nobody is listed who shouldn't be yours.
- Flag any wrong department or wrong manager (e.g. the Mrudul-in-Functional and Sales-Lead questions).
- Reply ✅ Correct or ✏️ with the specific change (name + what's wrong) by [date] to [owner].
Why it matters: once this is switched on, a Lead only sees — and can approve — the people in their list. Anyone missing from a list won't have their timesheets appear for that Lead, so it's worth a careful read now. Fixes are quick (a Supervisor or Department change on the employee record).
